Defect status: burl is just one big defect so its hard to classify what would be a defect in a burl piece. There may be some small voids you may have to fill with a resin to use on your guitar project like most burl projects
NOTE: wood is sprayed with a isopropyl alcohol to give it the look of being finished but dries of almost immediately with no residue left over
